Terms of service
These terms cover salutalk.com today: a product preview, an early-access list, and a promise about how the real app will behave when it opens. They are written to be read, not scrolled past.
1. What this site is right now
SaluTalk is in early access. The home page demonstrates how the product works: correction loops, chatmates, voice rooms, readings and plans. Conversations, names, XP figures and timings shown on the preview are illustrative examples, labelled as such, and are not measurements of real users. The early-access signup is functional: when you submit it, your email is stored for the launch notification under the terms of our privacy policy. Nothing on this site is a binding offer to provide the app; joining the list reserves your place in the notification queue, nothing more.
2. When the app launches
The free plan will be free forever with the limits shown on the plans section: three corrections a day, matching with text and voice, one quiet room a week. Paid plans are bought one 30-day block at a time and never auto-renew — when a block ends, it simply ends. Payments will be processed by a named payment provider at checkout, and we will show the provider, the price and the currency before you confirm anything. Until the app opens, no payment can be taken on this site, and anyone asking you to pay "for SaluTalk access" before launch is not us.
3. Community rules
SaluTalk is a learning space, and learning needs safety. When the app opens, blocking and reporting will be separate actions, reports will be reviewed by humans, and harassment, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, spam and scams lead to removal — full stop. The rules summarised on the safety section of the home page are part of these terms; using the service to harm, impersonate or exploit others is not a "clever use", it is a violation. We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will explain why when we do.
4. Your content, our content
The sentences you write in the app remain yours. To run the product we need permission to process them for the obvious things — showing corrections, matching, keeping your history — and for nothing else; we do not train advertising models on your chats, ever. The SaluTalk name, the parrot badge, the design of this site and the text on it belong to SaluTalk. You may link to us, quote us with attribution, and share screenshots of your own corrections; you may not resell the service or present it as your own product.
5. Disclaimers and liability
The preview site is provided "as is" while we finish the product; features may change before launch and example content may be updated without notice. Corrections from our coach are learning aids, not certified translations or legal, medical or financial advice — double-check anything consequential with a professional in that language. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SaluTalk is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of this preview site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory consumer rights always win over anything written here.
6. Changes to these terms
We will update these terms as the product grows — most visibly when accounts open. Material changes are announced on this page with a new effective date, and early-access members get an email for anything that affects them. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it; if you disagree, the right move is to stop using the service and tell us why — we genuinely read that feedback.
